About me
A few words about me. I'm 26 years old, by trade a physicist, currently working as a programmer, born and living in Hungary.
A certified daydreamer™, with a near constant stream of random ideas, some if which stick and become a project. I'm not the best sticking to them until the end though. I try to work on that but oh well, once most of it is done and only the fine touches remain, I get bored.
I'm a big fan of early 2000's aesthetics and programming culture (the website itself is a homage to the original Rathet and Clank game - if you found it familiar, now you know why :D). I think that modern algorithm-based endless content-streams that are, to this day, called "social media platforms" (though we lost any social aspect a decade ago) are the most destructive forces causing the "sterilization"/corporatization of the internet. Festering with bots, ragebait, propaganda, there's not much of value to be found on these sites. Indie web is probably the best thing that happened in a while.
However, this website is not intended to be some sort of edgy grand stand against everything. I will probably write sometimes about things that annoy me, but that's not the point. I made this because I have an intrinsic desire to create something. I want to write about my DIY projects here, my programming projects, and how I'm managing de-algorithmizing (this is surely not written like that), degoogleing, and moving away from large platforms to my own.
Beside physics and programming, I also enjoy:
- electronics
- DIY projects
- strategy games
- cooking
- 3D printing (ender 3 my beloved <3)
- lately, keeping plants
- competitions (Hackathons, CTF, Advent of Code)
I hope you enjoy your stay here. If you have any questions or suggestions to me, shoot an email. I will add my contacts somewhere. I am generally a pretty helpful guy - given that you ask nicely :)
